We arrived nearly cooked and fought our way through a wall of braying taxi and Tuk tuk drivers over a busy road and by very good luck found a guest house with air con and a fridge,(Both necessities!)and a river view.
Ayutthaya was the capital of Siam for 417 years.Full of history and many many Temples old and new.
Elephants are very special here. They seem to be well looked after. There are elephant statues everywhere too.
We walked and walked and even had to but umbrellas as we saw very angry storm clouds brewing.(We needed them.)
The night market was another accidental find.We grazed our way down the food stalls. The dumplings were the best I have tasted.
At the end of another very busy day a well deserved Mai tai for Jane and bed.
