We found this thanks to my constant companion the Lonely Planet guide.
This experience was the highlight of Bangkok.
Bangkoks largest depot for wholesale flowers by night and by day is the wholesale vegetable market.
We took the metro to the Hua Lamphong station where we then took a Tuk tuk through rush hour traffic abuot 4ks.
Eventually we were put down in the middle of the market where we were hit by a profussion of colour, noise, busyness, people, scotters laden, intense smells delightful and disgusting! and flowers as far as the eye could see!(acres).
Also food stalls everywhere. It was still extreemly hot but we had to eat so settled for yellow chicken curry with pumpkin. It certainly got things going eyes, nose every pore streaming!I was pumping in water as fast as it was exiting. The locals were all highly amused.
I think we were the only Europeans in the entire place.( hard to believe)
We walked and walked taking it all in.We had to watch out for the night wild life.Very large rats!!!
We eventually had to leave so climbed aboard another Tuk tuk did the reverse journey.
