Our first foray in the trusty Ford Focus was to Brighton a day out with Annika and Andrew.
We left armed with three cell phones to rely on and Google maps for instructions.
It all went very well and we were there in 1 1/2 hours.
We walked out on the Pier ate doughnuts sat on deck chairs and enjoyed the whole carnival atmosphere.
We walked along the grand promonade, ate Fish and chips on the stoney beach,enjoyed the sun and even dipped a toe into the sea! (Very cold) there were a few hardy souls out there.
We then explored the town. Very quaint with little lanes and lots of surprises.
The drive back started very well until we took a wrong turn and the phones went dead.
Three hours later we arrived back at Horton Road (having driven right through the centre of London) exhausted.
